Brazil have released the list of players to play the upcoming friendlies against Panama and Czech Republic ahead of the next international break. The squad announced by coach Tite is a 23 man squad featuring some new faces and surprise omissions.
Vinicius Junior tweeted his delight on making the call-up and alluded that at his young age he had already made 100 appearances with his first cap close to fruition. It is understood that the winger was called up as a replacement for star player Neymar who is out with a broken Metatarsal injury.
One major omission was that of fellow teammate Marcelo, the left-back has endured a frustrating season at the Bernabeu. He has been below par and recently lost out of the first team to young defender Reguillion.
However, Brazil’s assistant coach Sylinho revealed that the player’s absence was due to a lack of first-team football and when he rediscovers his form he is certain to be called up to the national team.
